Rebecca Hagelin (Heritage Foundation Staff) REBECCA HAGELIN -- has championed the pro-family message in both Washington and around the nation for some twenty years. She is a vice president of The Heritage Foundation whose vision is to "Create an America where freedom, opportunity, prosperity and civil society flourish." Her weekly column, "Heart Beat", appears on WorldNetDaily and Townhall.com and is characterized by its exploration of social and cultural issues through the eyes of a mother. Hagelin has been a commentator for Salem radio and a guest co-host of Point of View as well as guest host for ABC Radio's WMAL. A poised and articulate spokesperson, Hagelin is the author of numerous articles published nationally and is a veteran of hundreds of radio, television, newspaper, and magazine interviews, including numerous appearances on CNN, Fox News, and national network news programs. She is the author of Home Invasion: Protecting Your Family in a Culture That's Gone Stark Raving Mad. She and her husband, Andy, have been married for over twenty years and are parents of three teenagers. They reside in the Washington, DC area. 

In 1983, she became the director of public relations for the Center for Judicial Studies and Benchmark magazine. In 1986, she joined the national management team at Concerned Women for America as director of communications and oversaw the development of the organization's first national PR efforts, trained volunteers and spokespeople in PR techniques, and served as one of the organization's primary spokespersons.
