Pamela Paul is a journalist and the author of Pornified: How Pornogprahy Is Transforming Our Lives, Our Relationships and our Families (Times Books) and The Starter Marriage and the Future of Matrimony (Villard), selected by The Washington Post as one of the best books of 2002. She is currently working on a book about the parenting business, to be published by Times Books in Spring 2008. She is a contributor to TIME magazine.
Paul was formerly a senior editor at American Demographics magazine, where she covered social, political, and media trends. For five years, she was a monthly contributor to The Economist, where she covered books, arts trends and film. She has also written for The New York Times Book Review, Psychology Today, Health, Self, Ladies' Home Journal, Redbook, Marie Claire, More, and a number of other national magazines. Online, she has written for Salon.com, Inside.com and other websites.
Paul has appeared on national television shows such as Oprah, Good Morning America, The Today Show and Politically Incorrect. She speaks frequently on national radio about issues related to marriage and divorce, social and demographic trends, parenting and family, and generational issues.
