 Without a Doubt

7. Dr. James Dobson

All told, 27 of the 28 states that have voted on constitutional amendments have opted for the exclusivity of traditional marriages. Without a doubt, this is what the American people want, and that would end the matter if it were not for the concerted effort of gay advocates, the left-wing media and, of course, liberal judges. They work tirelessly to redesign the institution of the family, as you will see in a moment. The battle to save the family intensified dramatically in 2006, especially in the run-up to the election. Huge campaign contributions were made by mega-wealthy gay activists, including software tycoon Tim Gill.

Ban on Illegals

Business lobbyists believe lawmakers will ultimately strip from Senate minimum wage legislation any sanctions against companies caught hiring illegal immigrants. Whether they can keep it out of immigration law is another matter.  The Senate, by a 94-0 vote Thursday, inserted a federal contracting ban for businesses that violate immigration laws into a bill that would raise the federal floor on hourly pay from $5.15 to $7.25 over two years.  Contractors may suffer bans for illegals

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall flew in on British Airways, in line with the prince's recent announcement that he would forsake private jets to reduce his impact on the environment. Family Concerns

Calm Down

Today it seems as if everyone is under stress. It has become a normal part of everyday life—and as long as we can keep that stress within reasonable limits, there's no problem. But when we allow it to exceed its reasonable limit, trouble begins. For example, a chair is built to sit on. It is designed and constructed to bear a certain amount of weight. If it is used properly, it should last a very long time. But if it is overloaded beyond its capacity, it will begin to wear out and can eventually break down completely under the strain. Calm Down and Cheer Up!
