Even though females usually live longer than males -- females aren't the only ones governed by changes in hormones in mid-life, according to a growing number of studies, notwithstanding prostate cancer, showing that steady depletions in testosterone in men contribute to medical ills that include infertility, and diabetes. "The male biological clock can explain a lot about their behavior and health," said Dr. Harry Fisch, director of the Male Reproductive Center at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Columbia University Medical Center. Fisch and two Columbia colleagues -- Dr. Marianne Legato and Dr. Benjamin Lewis -- wrote a review on the subject in the most recent Journal of the American Medical Association. Unlike middle-aged women, who have a sharp decline in estrogen, men have slower decreases that never take a similar nose-dive. Testosterone decreases about 1 percent a year starting at age 30. See how liberal history is created, you need to tune into the nut-cable stations and watch their coverage of the Scooter Libby trial. On MSNBC they're covering the trial like it's the Normandy Invasion, starring Elvis Presley, as told by Joseph Goebbels. MSNBC's "reportage" consists of endless repetition of arbitrary assertions, half-truths and thoroughly debunked canards. No one else cares about the trial -- except presumably Scooter Libby -- so the passionate left is allowed to invent a liberal fable without correction.

The shot rang out suddenly, with no warning, whistling across the bright clearing. "Are you shot?" the young man called out, worried about his only companion. "No," came the answer. Within moments, the two men were upon the Indian, who could only struggle under their weight. Although breathing heavily, young George Washington was unscathed — the first among many times that he narrowly escaped death. At such times, he gave thanks to Providence.

Sharing in Glory
And if we are [His] children, then we are [His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His inheritance with Him]; only we must share His suffering if we are to share His glory. Romans 8:17. As Christians, we like the thought of sharing in Christ's glory, but what about sharing in His suffering? Jesus took care of the death penalty once and for all, and we don't ever have to worry about that again. But the Bible teaches that we must suffer times of trial if we are to share in the glory. Is it worth it? Listen to the words of Paul in Romans 8:18: ...For I consider that the sufferings of this present time (this present life) are not worth being compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us and for us and conferred on us!
