But there is one “elephant” that has been ignored by many churches for years, according to one online ministry. The pornography “elephant.” "So many churches are so afraid to even talk about this issue," said Brian McGinness, a 33-year-old construction worker who recently attended a breakfast of "Porn and Pancakes" organized by XXXChurch.com, an online ministry created to get Christians talking about their X-rated addictions. "It's a dirty little secret." Craig Gross, a pastor with XXXChurch.com, refers to the widespread use of porn as "the elephant in the pew" that many churches ignored for years because they didn't know how to deal with it. "We realize churches want to talk about porn now," Gross recently told The Associated Press. "Even if they don't know how to, they've got to, because it's in every home." And not just every home, but it’s in the workplace and even in schools. "We realize churches want to talk about porn now," Gross recently told The Associated Press. Men More Promiscuous In a new national survey, the federal government says it has authoritative statistics, documenting that men are far more likely to play the field than women. The median number of lifetime female sexual partners for men was seven; the median number of male partners for women was four. Dr. Kathryn Porter, medical officer for the survey, said the findings would provide grist for further studies, notably on the prevalence and patterns of sexually transmitted diseases. The survey results will likely provide ammunition to various parties in the ongoing national debate over sex education, cohabitation and access to birth control.

TV Controling Us Professor Gunter said: “This research could reveal just how dependent people have become on their TV sets and personal or portable computers. These are technologies many of us take for granted these days. The TV is switched on without thinking and provides background noise and a constant companion. It is only once these sources of entertainment are removed from our environment that our dependency on them is dramatically exposed. Suddenly we find ourselves faced with a lot of empty time to fill or a room full of…silence. The big question for the families we have observed is how they coped with the absence of screen-based entertainment.

Abstinence According to a recent Zogby poll, 78% of American parents prefer schools to promote abstinence over contraceptive use. Yet Congress plans to eliminate funding for abstinence education by simply not reauthorizing it when it considers the Transitional Medical Assistance (TMA) bill. Historically, TMA and Abstinence Education Funding are considered together and this is a blatant disregard of parents' wishes for their children! Abstinence Funding in Jeopardy!

Your EmotionsThe daily ups and downs of our emotions are one of the major struggles we have with our relationships. Instead of riding the emotional roller coaster, we need to become stable, solid, steadfast, persevering and determined people. If we continue to let our emotions rule over us, there’s no way we’ll ever be the person we were meant to be. Of course, none of us will ever be totally rid of emotions, but we must learn to manage and control them—not let them control us.
Life is no fun when we are controlled by feelings. Feelings change from day to day, hour to hour, even moment to moment. Not only do they change, they lie. Who's the Boss, You or Your Emotions?
