 Planned Parenthood receives 107 Indictments

Planned Parenthood faces criminal charges for aborting late-term babies in violation of Kansas state law. And what has happened to the men getting underage girls pregnant? But, on Wednesday, Johnson County Prosecutor Phill Kline filed a 107-count indictment against the nation's largest abortion provider, specifically its Overland Park, Kan., affiliate. Johnson County District Judge James Vano found probable cause for the following charges:

  • 23 felony counts of making a false writing.
  • 29 misdemeanor counts of performing unlawful late-term abortions.
  • 26 misdemeanor counts of failure to maintain records.
  • 29 misdemeanor counts of failure to determine viability.

The first hearing is set for Nov. 16. The charges detailed evidence that Planned Parenthood was performing illegal late-term abortions by ignoring viability laws  and regulations, and then falsifying documents in order to conceal and cover up those facts, notwithstanding the fact -- men bringing underage girls into the abortion clinic without parental permission.

Go to fullsize image Phil Burress, president of Citizens for Community Values in Ohio, said courts tend to accept outside research that proves the adverse effects sex shops have on communities.  "That sends a very strong message across America," he said, "that we can do something to cut down on the crime - especially prostitution - that goes on inside sexually oriented businesses."A federal court in Tampa, Fla., last week upheld a restrictive law governing sexually oriented businesses in Hillsborough County. The regulations forbid alcohol in strip clubs, close contact between patrons and dancers, and private viewing booths in video stores.Family groups are celebrating because the law provides a solid model for other states to follow. Scott Bergthold with AdultBusinessLaw.com said restrictions on sex shops are catching on."The trend is in favor of local governments to regulate and restrict adult businesses to prevent the negative secondary effects they cause," he told Family News.

The Battle In Your Mind

KID'S MIND I have taught the truths of God’s Word for over thirty years. After all that time, I am convinced that one of the greatest areas in which we need help is our thinking. I believe the key to victory in our lives, as well as in the lives of our children, is being renewed in our minds daily by the power of God’s Word. This means learning to think about the things God wants us to think about, instead of just thinking about whatever comes into our heads. As parents, you and I need to realize what we do— and what our children do—is the result of what we are thinking. So, in order to deal with wrong behaviors, we need to deal with wrong thinking. Our thoughts have the power to either help or hurt us, and the same is true for our kids. What they think about will affect their health, their moods, their relationships— everything. When I first began to study the Word, I had problems in many areas of my life. But a major transition took place in my soul and spirit when I received a revelation about my thought life.
