Could half of Christian men have a problem with porn, as so many of the statistics say? Porn is reported to be a 12 billion dollar industry in the U.S… 50 percent of men viewed pornography within one week of attending a Promise Keepers stadium event… 54 percent of pastors said they viewed porn within the past year in a Pastors.com survey… in a 2003 Focus on the Family poll 47 percent of respondents said porn is a problem in their home. 12 billion… 50 percent… half. My eyes glaze over at numbers like this. Are we supposed to buy into the idea that half of the men in the church are porn addicts? Maybe it’s just more sensational. Stated -- How Many Porn Addicts are in Your Church? While AP reported a minister from a Dallas-area Baptist megachurch was caught in an Internet sex sting and charged with online solicitation of a minor, police said Friday. Undercover officers posing as a 13-year-old girl communicated with Joe Barron, 52, of Plano for about two weeks. The online conversations were sexual in nature, police said. On May 6, Barron suggested meeting the girl in person. He eventually made the nearly 200-mile drive to Bryan on Thursday, when he was arrested. Police said they found a web-cam and condoms in his car. Barron remained in Brazos County Jail on Friday on $7,000 bail. Police did not know if he had an attorney. Barron is one of 40 ministers at Prestonwood Baptist Church, one of the largest churches in the country with 26,000 members. He ministers to married adults. Mike Buster, executive pastor, said in a statement that |

the church had no record or knowledge of previous improprieties or saw any inappropriate behavior in the 18 months Barron was on the church staff. Buster said church officials are fully cooperating with police. "We are disturbed and saddened by the reports we have heard and we are praying for the Barron family," he said. |

HEALTHY INTESTINES Ann Louise Gittleman says that, "Good health is paved with good intestines." If there is something wrong with your intestines, something needs to be addressed. Many people don't know this, but your immune system lives in your intestinal track. You can get uninvited guests in your intestinal track – parasites. The misconception is that if you don't live in a third world country, you can't get parasites. Unfortunately, a person can get parasites anywhere because we have compromised our immune systems by more traveling, fast food, and not washing or cooking our food properly. We can get parasites in restaurants. Parasites have become tenacious. Taking Hydrochloric Acid (HCL) and probiotics are important, but they won't kill parasites. It's not a matter of medication, but elimination. Everyone should get checked for parasites up to twice a year. You need to get rid of them. We are now dealing with "smart" bugs and bacteria. It doesn't help to try to strengthen your body or give it nutrients without killing the parasites – they'll still be there. When you're cleansing for parasites, you don't want to take a lot of antioxidants – there is no point. If you eat a lot of sugar, you are feeding the parasites – it's their favorite food. They could be one of the causes for obesity. The beginning of obesity starts in the gut – people become tired, eat more, eat more sugary foods, which feed parasites. Read On |

MOST LIKELY A public school in Mississippi has become the center of a national controversy after a teacher reportedly forced her 6th grade class to vote who among their classmates were the most likely to get pregnant, contract HIV, go to jail, or die by the age of 19. Curtis Lyons, whose daughter was voted “most likely to get pregnant,” said he was outraged at what the teacher claimed was a “statistics” assignment. The teacher reportedly ranked the students’ names on a blackboard for the whole class to see. "She was humiliated," Lyons told WAPT news. "She's an honor student.""I don't think she should be teaching kids. Those questions were out of place and inappropriate. I want to know what was the lesson in that?" he added. Although Lyons and other parents have demanded that the teacher be dismissed, school officials at Chastain Middle School have been vague about what type of action they would take to reprimand the teacher, adding only that the incident was being “investigated.” "We are presently investigating the matter at Chastain. However, we are not able to release details in this matter so as to not violate the rights of confidentiality of personnel and students,” said school official Lucy Hansford.
