Parents have NO Control

Increasingly, children have access to computers over which their parents have no control-at schools, in neighbors' homes' their own homes, and in libraries. And there's certainly no guarantee that any of these computers will have filtering software-or, if they do, that it will be effective. Congress has tried for more than 10 years to place restrictions on the distribution of online pornography, but each attempt has been struck down in the courts. The Child Online Protection Act (COPA), passed in 1998 with FRC's help, would have done one simple thing-require commercial Internet pornographers to verify the age of their customers by adult-access codes or credit cards. . Chuck Colson Under the Influence Approximately $60 billion is spent every year on television advertising. That’s $200 for every man, woman, and child. It is spent in the hopes that by seeing something on television, people will think or act in some desired fashion. Judging by the reaction to a new study on television’s effect on our kids, that $60 billion might better be used as kindling. The study by the Rand Corporation followed 2,000 kids between the ages of 12 and 17 for three years. It asked them about “their television viewing habits and sexual behavior.”Read On

SARAH'S BOOK If you thought being governor of Alaska and a new grandmother would be enough to fill the cold, dark nights in the Arctic state, you underestimate Sarah Palin, the failed vice presidential candidate. Palin has reportedly enlisted the services of Robert Barnett, the Washington lawyer who represented President Obama, would-be President Hillary Rodham Clinton and former President Bill Clinton in their multimillion-dollar book deals. Barnett declined to comment. But a variety of published sources, including the Hollywood Reporter, said that Barnett was on board in helping to sell a Palin book. Presumably, the book would tell her side of the 2008 presidential election, when the GOP nominee, Sen. John McCain of Arizona, plucked Palin out of relative obscurity and offered her the vice presidential spot. Read On

AVOIDING RAPE ROME —  AP reports premier Silvio Berlusconi is being criticized for suggesting that giada de laurentiis Italy's women are so beautiful they need military escorts to avoid rape. Berlusconi made the comments Sunday, responding to questions about a proposal to deploy 300,000 soldiers in the streets to fight crime. A series of violent crimes, including a rape in Rome on New Year's Eve and another outside the capital this week, prompted the proposal. But Berlusconi said even with added police, such crimes can happen, and that "We would need so many soldiers because our women are so beautiful." Opposition lawmaker Giovanna Melandri said Berlusconi's comments were "profoundly offensive."Berlusconi says he was complimenting women. "What about dealing with their men's addiction for pornography to control the Italian rape problem, say CfD, rather than blaiming the women for their beauty."

In less than a week after Obama’s swearing in, our nuevo POTUS unfurled his radically liberal abortion and family plans together with his juicy pro-homosexual agenda. Good job, all evangelicals who voted for Obama, as these aforementioned ditties—from a biblical perspective—are about as sanctified as the Antichrist French kissing a crack whore in Bret Michaels’ hot tub. Yep, I wanna give a special shout out to all the “major” ministers who fawned and swooned over Barack and swayed their congregations to vote for him in spite of his anti-scriptural stances on life, marriage and sexuality. Let’s take a look at Obama’s homosexual agenda for our nation: My colleague and co-belligerent compadre right here on TownHall.com, Matt Barber, pointed out to me during an interview on my show last week that literally within minutes after President Obama took the oath of office Tuesday..... WHAT? BOSTON —  As the economy worsens, more men and women are hoping to cash in by selling their sperm and eggs. The president of Northeast Assisted Fertility Group in Boston and New York tells the Boston Herald that the number of women filling out applications to donate eggs have doubled in recent weeks. The agency pays women a fee of $10,000 after their eggs are retrieved. At the Wellesley egg-donor agency Prospective Families, the number of women asking about donating their eggs jumped by about 30 percent since September. And California Cryobank, with offices in Cambridge and California, has seen the number of potential sperm donors grow by 15 percent in 2008 compared to 2007. he majority of would-be sperm and egg donors are denied.
