Media Cover-up: Promiscuity and Prostate Cancer

A study conducted at the University of Michigan has found that men who had previously suffered from gonorrhea have a higher risk of getting prostate cancer.

Another risk factor is having multiple sex partners - having had more than 25 sexual partners in a man’s lifetime also raises his risk of prostate cancer to over 2.5 times that of men who have had less than six sex partners. Gonorrhea and Sexual Promiscuity Increase Prostate Cancer Risk noted from The National Cancer Institute, but Marrecca Fiore with FoxNews, our media friends, didn't report these huge findings. If women get cervical cancer from STDs, men's prostate cancer shouldn't be a surprise even though it is usually hidden until later life. And Dr. Grossman, "Why is the media covering-up the research about sexual health issues as it applies to men and prostate cancer?" Just Google " Promiscuity and Prostate Cancer.

The study was based on the Flint Men’s Health Study, which looked at a group of black men residing in Flint, Michigan. The men were aged 40 to 79. African-American men were looked at specifically in order to try and ascertain why their risk of getting prostate cancer was twice that of white men; their risk of dying from the disease was also double. And this study does not exclude white men and promiscuity. Read On

Death of Conscience Our teenagers are more sexually active than any generation of youth before them. They also are consuming more pornography and compromising basic moral standards more often. It seems that many of them have lost not only their innocence, but their conscience, too.

The plethora of negative and immoral behaviors glorified by a media world that's gone stark raving mad -- combined with graphic, non-judgmental sex education and a highly sexualized culture in general -- causes many of them to lose understanding of what is wrong and what is right.

When a young child's sensibilities are constantly violated, and he begins to ignore the natural pangs of guilt after yielding to cultural pressures, he can end up being miserable, and begins to develop a hard heart and weak spirit. Read On

“Science” in Sex Education The House of Representatives has approved an addition to the healthcare reform package. It calls for the creation of a “Healthy Teen Initiative”, and allocates $50 million to so-called “comprehensive” sex education.

“This was a vote to bring science back into government”, said James Wagoner, president of Advocates For Youth and a leader of the coalition that promoted the amendment. The committee, he continued, “has taken an important step toward ensuring young people get the critical sexual health information they need to make responsible decisions about their lives.”

Mr. Wagoner’s statement is astonishing, because Advocates for Youth’s sexual education curricula and websites are notable for their lack of scientific content. Read On

'Jon and Kate' Back On! Tonight, viewers got more insight into the long, sad story that is the dissolution of the Gosselin marriage, as TLC ran two half-hour episodes of “Jon & Kate Plus Eight.”

These were the first new episodes to air since the June 22 show, in which Jon and Kate announced that they were divorcing. Tonight’s shows contained footage shot before the rumors of Jon’s infidelity began to make tabloid headlines, as well as footage shot during the height of that coverage. The second episode took place after the couple officially began living separate lives.

In the first of tonight’s episodes, titled “Renovations & Vacations,” Jon and Kate decided to accept an offer from a remodeling company to redo their kitchen, which probably looked pretty nice to most viewers already. “It’s kinda strange that we’re remodeling our kitchen in the middle of our separation and stuff like that,” said Jon to the camera. The New Morality Florida Gator quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow is known for being an unconventional college football player. First, he was homeschooled, taking a different route to his success in the NCAA. Second, he is outspoken about his Christian faith. Born in the Philippines while his parents served as missionaries there, Tebow never shies away from sharing his beliefs. Last week the Christian homeschooler from Florida was able to do something few other star athletes have accomplished: silence a room of reporters. During a press conference, a reporter asked Tebow whether, in being consistent with his Christian faith, he was “saving himself for marriage.” Tebow nonchalantly yet confidently responded, “Yes, I am.” He then calmly called upon another reporter to ask a question. But the reporters at the press conference were obviously so stunned by Tebow’s honest and unapologetic answer, that the next reporter could barely verbalize his question. Tebow laughed good-naturedly, amused that his honesty could silence a room full of sports reporters. “I think y’all were stunned by that,” he said. “Y’all can’t even ask a question. First time ever. Wow. I mean, I was ready for that question. I don’t think y’all were.” Read On
