The Obama campaign's press strategy leading up to his election last November focused on "making" the media cover what the campaign wanted and on exercising absolute "control" over coverage, White House Communications Director Anita Dunn told an overseas crowd early this year.
In a video of the event, Dunn is seen describing in detail the media strategy used by then-Sen. Barack Obama's highly disciplined presidential campaign. The video is footage from a Jan. 12 forum hosted by the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development in the Dominican Republic.
"Very rarely did we communicate through the press anything that we didn't absolutely control," Dunn said, admitting that the strategy "did not always make us popular in the press."
The video drew attention after Dunn kicked off a war of words with Fox News last Sunday, calling the network "opinion journalism masquerading as news." Read On |

| JAW-DROPPING MTV The programming gurus at MTV are basing their profit-making strategy on the viewer demographic of 12 to 34 -- as if there’s no difference in maturity level between 12 and 34. MTV’s brand of sensationalistic "reality TV" was easily demonstrated on the night of Oct. 5, when they aired a primetime marathon (from 7 p.m. Eastern to 1 a.m.) of their hour-long documentary series called "True Life." Just the episode titles were jaw-dropping. Read On |

SPOILED BRATS??? When inflation hits, every dollar in your bank account is worth less each day. Deflation is just the opposite: You put your feet up and watch your money grow in value. The other day, the federal government announced that for the first time since cost-of-living adjustments were begun in 1975, Social Security recipients will not get an annual raise in their monthly checks. This decision is not the result of a fit of fiscal austerity or a sadistic desire to punish old people. Read On |

THE HOAX Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden announced at a press conference on Sunday that Colorado authorities have ruled the "balloon boy's" flight a hoax.
"It has been determined that this is a hoax. We believe we have evidence at this point to indicate that this was a publicity stunt," Alderden told reporters.
Authorities believe the alleged plot was hatched in an attempt by the Heene family "to better market themselves for a reality show at some point in the future," Alderden said. "They were lying." Read On |

DISHONEST REPORTING Recently, we have been hearing from others that females also have an addiction for pornography. When considering the source, we found....... After repeatedly asking for scientific research as evidence, we have either received none, received some interesting numbers related to different subjects, was told the evidence was coming, or just received plain nonsense. You say how can this be, if notable organizations operated by notable males who even wrote books about females suggesting an addiction to pornography?
Our nonprofit has battled pornography for over twelve years by researching it, interviewing addicted males, researching rapes of woman and children, interviewing females, and interviewing hundreds of prostitutes, when we have not found one female personally interested in pornography, let alone, addicted to it.
