Lawyer Dominance

Those of us who are not true believers in expanded government are certain of the following:

If the 1,990-page House Health Care Bill becomes law, the average American will receive worse health care, American physicians will decline in status and income, American medical innovation will dramatically slow down and pharmaceutical discoveries will decline in number and quality. And, of course, the economy of the United States will deteriorate, perhaps permanently.

However, we are also certain that there is one American group that will thrive -- trial lawyers. The very existence of a 1,990-page law guarantees years of, if not more or less permanent, lawsuits. And the law actually specifies that states that do not limit attorneys' fees in cases of medical malpractice shall be financially rewarded. What we are seeing here, therefore, is something unprecedented in our history: Many trial lawyers will earn as much as most physicians, and fewer and fewer physicians will earn as much as successful trial lawyers. Consider the 1997 movie "Devil's Advocate" which thematically raises the preposition that ' winning is everything' in the legal profession.' Does a lawyer commit the basic sin of vanity if he believes his job is to win, as Kevin Lomax does.

Further the movie in John Milton's trenchant speech questions the very notion of righteousness in the post-modern world. Milton's speech rips apart the whole discourse of religion when he presents the inherent contradiction of it. Kevin's dilemma reflects the modern man who accuses the circumstances for being what he is, the culture dominated by lawyer's making money 'which build egos of the size of cathedral', the question is can one really call what one does 'freely-willed'?  Read On

PeterHeckJeffConnorZurich2007.jpg image by JMC1065 MOVE OVER, KKK Back in February, Eric Holder – the country's first black Attorney General – announced that we were a nation of cowards because, "we, as average Americans, simply do not talk enough to each other about race."  Holder is right.

That there are still organizations operating in this country that demonize, target, and victimize innocent people simply because of the color of their skin is unconscionable.  That there are still hate groups in our midst whose very foundation is rooted in a malevolent contempt for minorities is disgusting.  That, while we stand quietly, there are those working daily inside this country to commit genocide against blacks is an abomination.  And worse, still others go beyond complicit silence and actually attempt to give legitimacy and offer defense for such institutions perpetrating these atrocities.

These devastating realities only prove Holder's assertion to be accurate.  It is inescapable...as long as Planned Parenthood continues to operate in this country, we are a nation of cowards.

In her book The Pivot of Civilization, Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger wrote that unless something was done to stop them, those living in the slums (blacks, Hispanics, and Jews) would eventually leave the boundaries of their neighborhoods and mix with the better parts of society (whites).  Their inferior genes, she argued, would then infect the rest of us.  Therefore, she suggested we cease all charitable giving to the inner-city poor, segregate these "morons, misfits, and maladjusted," sterilize these "genetically inferior races," and begin a process of eliminating such "human weeds."
